Off-Premise BASSET Certification is intended for individuals employed in establishments where alcohol is sold for consumption off-site. Examples of off-premise establishments include liquor stores, convenience stores, grocery stores and gas stations. Off-Premise BASSET Certification emphasizes responsible sales practices, checking ID, recognizing signs of intoxication, preventing sales to minors and ensuring compliance with applicable alcohol laws and regulations.

What is Illinois BASSET training, and who needs it?

When will I get my certificate?

Once you’ve enrolled, completed the course and passed the final exam with a score of at least 70%, you will have access to a customized printable certificate. This will serve as your temporary certificate of completion. You will receive your official BASSET card from the Illinois Liquor Control Commission by mail.

Print two copies of your certificate — one to give to your employer, and one to keep for your personal records.

How do I print my certificate?

After you complete the course, login again. You will need to use the same username and password you originally used to take the course.

Click on "Resume Course" to go to the end of the completed course and print your certificate. If you have forgotten this information, follow the prompts on the login screen to reset your password.

What if I need to reprint my certificate?

To reprint your certificate, you can log in to the course and print your certificate from your dashboard. Log in with your username (your email address) and the password you used to register for the course. If you have forgotten your password, follow the prompts on the login screen to reset your password.
